Each year, we try to look back at the past. We at Epimeta are thrilled work with with B-360 Baltimore, an incredible organization making a real difference in the lives of young people and the broader Baltimore community. B-360’s innovative approach combines STEM education with dirt bike culture to provide unique learning opportunities, mentorship, and pathways to success.
B-360 works tirelessly to break cycles of poverty, disrupt the prison pipeline, and build bridges within the community. They do this through several impactful programs:
STEM Program (Ages 5-15): This program introduces young people to the fundamentals of engineering through hands-on activities like building, coding, designing, and 3D printing model dirt bikes. Participants also learn vital skills in rider safety, mechanics, team building, and leadership.
Workforce Program (Ages 16+): B-360 employs Junior Instructors, fostering intergenerational learning through mentoring, direct engagement, and employment opportunities. This program provides valuable work experience and empowers young adults to become leaders within their community.
Sound of Summer Camp (Ages 5-20): This annual summer camp offers intensive, hands-on learning experiences in engineering design and dirt bike mechanics. Participants learn from expert riders, mechanics, engineers, and community stakeholders. Diversion Program (Participants in the Criminal System): B-360 provides an alternative to incarceration by offering transferable skills and direct job placement within B-360 or with partner organizations.
